30-year old USA-PURn power forward Chris Ortiz (203-PF-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Osos de Manati and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 13.
He had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Manati in his team's victory, helping them to crush Caguas (#1, 10-3) with 21-point margin 115-94. Osos maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Puerto Rican league. Manati is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. In the team's last game Ortiz had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He just recently signed at Osos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kent State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ortiz is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.3ppg) and averages solid 58.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last week was Chinanu Onuaku (207-C-1996) of Super Santeros de Aguada. He is Nigerian-American center in his first season at Aguada. In the last game Onuaku recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Aguada was edged by slightly higher-ranked San German (#4, 5-9) 92-89. This loss caused Aguada to drop to 5th position in Group A. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Onuaku is one of the most experienced players at Aguada and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.6ppg (#8). He also registered 10.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Bryon Allen (192-G-1992) of Atleticos de San German (#4). Allen scored 24 points and passed 9 assists. He was a key player of Atleticos, leading his team to a 92-89 win against slightly lower-ranked Aguada (#5, 5-10). The chances of San German not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Allen could try to bring San German's a little bit higher in the standings. Allen has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (3rd best).
